Yamadanda Mongolia late 19th - early 20th century Papier-mâché. H. 61 cm Interesting skeleton-shaped scepter surmounted by a half-vajra. This form of scepter is frequently associated with Yama, the judge of the dead, who and is brandished by dancers wearing the taurine mask of this god at monastery dances.
