The hammer price is exclusive of VAT. VAT at the reduced rate of 5.5% applies to the hammer price and sales commission. This VAT is recoverable for French professionals. It is refundable for non-EU buyers on presentation of proof of export from the EU, or for a professional buyer with an intra-Community VAT number and a document proving delivery to a member state.
Lots marked with the symbol "*" will be sold under the general VAT system in accordance with article 83-I of law no. 2023-1322 of December 29, 2023. In this case, VAT will be applied to the sum of the Auction Price and the buyer's costs, at the reduced rate of 5.5% for works of art, collectors' items and antiques (as defined in art. 98-A-II, II, IV of appendix III to the CGI) and at the rate of 20% for other goods (notably jewelry and watches under 100 years old, automobiles, wines and spirits and multiples, this list being non-exhaustive). If the item sold is subject to the general VAT system, the amount of VAT will be indicated on the sales slip, and the VAT-registered buyer will be entitled to reclaim it.
